From the airport to the center and then to the RR and Bus Stations
At the airport:
Change small amounts of your money here, fees are significantly higher than in the banks in the center of the city. Major credit cards apply at any ATM and major gas stations and shops.
You have the following options to get to the center of Sofia:
A. Taking bus #84. After getting out of the airport building, you will see the bus station. There are no other city buses running here, but #84. You should buy tickets in advance right on the station. Buy additional tickets for your bike and for every huge piece of luggage. Ticket price is 1 lev, (0.5 EUR, or 0.66 USD). Get off at the terminal, when the bus turns around a huge park and stops in front of the University. The Narodno Subranie Sq. is very close from here, you can even see part of the Parliament building if you look back to the street with the famous yellow pavement.
B. Taking taxi. Like cabs in New York, taxis are painted in yellow. Fees must be displayed at the front and the rear window. 0.45 - 0.55 leva/km is fair price. Not every taxi will handle your bike. The taxi company serving the airport is called OKAY SUPERTRANS. Do not accept casual "taxi" offers (it will cost you 50-100 leva instead of 15-20) from the airport to the centre.
C. On bike. Ask for directions:
In any case it is advisable to notify the organizers about the date and the hour of your arrival. It is possible to organize airport transfer to the start-final hotel in Sliven.

Buses to Sliven that take bicycles:
Sofia. 1. Doris: 11:00, 14:30, 16:00, 17:00
2. Globus E&S: 18:00
Varna. There is a Bus leaving for Sliven at 15:00 and at 15:30. It costs less than 10 leva (5 EUR) and usually takes bikes at no cost. It arrives at Sliven around 19:00. Usefull link: all about the city: http://varna.info.bg/english/
